The Inter­na­tion­al Ama­teur Radio Union (“IARU”) is the glob­al voice of ama­teur radio, rep­re­sent­ing the inter­est of radio ama­teurs in over 160 nation­al ama­teur radio soci­eties around the world.
This pri­va­cy pol­i­cy explains how we use any per­son­al infor­ma­tion we col­lect about you when you use this web­site or when you inter­act with us by email, post or oth­er means.
What infor­ma­tion do we col­lect about you? If you make con­tact with IARU on any mat­ter, we may retain a record of that con­tact. In most cas­es this will be your name and email address.
Web­site usage infor­ma­tion is col­lect­ed using cook­ies, and is used to improve your brows­ing expe­ri­ence and for sta­tis­ti­cal analy­sis of web­site usage.
How will we use the infor­ma­tion about you?  We use your infor­ma­tion col­lect­ed from the web­site to per­son­alise your repeat vis­its to our web­site. We will not pass your infor­ma­tion out­side of IARU unless you specif­i­cal­ly request us or give us per­mis­sion to do so.  If you are work­ing in a vol­un­tary capac­i­ty for IARU, we will use per­son­al infor­ma­tion such as email address, phys­i­cal address and tele­phone number(s) to main­tain con­tact with you and so allow you to be effec­tive in your vol­un­tary work with us.
If you are an offi­cial of one of IARU’s nation­al mem­ber soci­eties we may list your con­tact details on the “Mem­ber Soci­ety” pages of our web­site. The pro­vi­sion of your data to us by your own mem­ber soci­ety is tak­en as your con­sent for us to dis­play this data, but we will attempt to con­firm with you that you do not object. If you wish that data to be removed at any time, you should con­tact the Data Con­troller, whose details are at the end of this pri­va­cy state­ment.
Access to your infor­ma­tion and cor­rec­tion.  You have the right to request a copy of the infor­ma­tion that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your per­son­al infor­ma­tion, please con­tact the data con­troller named below. We want to make sure that your per­son­al infor­ma­tion is accu­rate and up to date. You may ask us to cor­rect or remove infor­ma­tion you think is inac­cu­rate.
Cook­ies:  Cook­ies are text files placed on your com­put­er to col­lect stan­dard inter­net log infor­ma­tion and vis­i­tor behav­ior infor­ma­tion.
